We know we’re not just making medicines.

Patients living with complex or chronic diseases are on a journey. We’re doing all we can to ease the way and help improve the quality of their lives.

We know our work touches patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, advocacy groups, and payers. That’s why we support “ecosystems of care,” with all stakeholders working together. While the term includes increasing savings and efficiencies, its end goal is improving the patient experience.2

We’re committed to giving patients a voice.

We’ve engaged with patient organizations for many years. In fact, we created a global patient advocacy relations unit to better coordinate our work with patient groups. Here are just a few examples:

  • Making More Health

We team with Ashoka to empower healthcare micro-entrepreneurs across 6 continents in grassroots efforts that are making a difference.4

  • Boehringer Ingelheim Cares

Boehringer Ingelheim Cares supplies grants, medicines, and our employees’ volunteer efforts to everything from local clinics to hurricane relief.5

We invest in the future.

Boehringer Ingelheim is a research-driven, family-owned company. We don’t report to shareholders. That means we can make the choices we feel are right for the long term. One of those choices is investing in biosimilars.
